Species diversity and condition of the introduced tree species in different areas of urban vegetation of Apatity town

By the example of subarctic lake-river system the modern tendencies of algal, benthos and fish communities under multiple-factor anthropogenic influences of apatite industry as well as natural conditions have been investigated using the comprehensive watershed approach. Species composition and structure of the communities, population characteristics and particularities of hydrocole responses on different impacts have been inventoried. The watersheds particularities of the water quality formation of the arctic waterbodies have been analyzed taking into account the landscape conditions, the technogenic transformation degree of ecosystems and the intensity and duration of pollution. Besides the information of modern status and tendencies of biosystems modifications have been obtained.

The role of the seed exchange in the enlargement of the collection of the introduced grass vegetations of the Polar-Alpine Botanical Garden

Assortment, age structure and condition of wood introducents used in planting of trees and shrubs of the town Apatity have been considered in the paper. Decorative quality features and agrotechnical particularities for the most wide-spread species have been given. Comparative analysis of the species variety and introducents' stability during 30 years have been shown.

Stages of development and analysis of assortment of ornamental arboreal plants for urbanized territories of the Kola North

The history of the arboreal plants assortment creation for urbanized territories in the Kola North has been presented in the paper. This assortment was subdivided into several groups differentiated by plant ornamental quality, their systematic position, directions of exploration, and sensitivity to unfavourable environmental conditions.
